Who we are and what we do
The Maintenance Committee is more than just repairs; it's about creating an environment where our community can thrive. If you're a hands-on individual passionate about improvement, we want you to be a part of our team. We manage all five of our Community Lots, including the lake.
What We Do:
Fixing & Beautifying: Tackle maintenance projects big and small, from repairing docks to enhancing our shared spaces.
Safety First: Keep our community safe by ensuring our lots comply with the highest safety standards.
Innovative Upgrades: Bring fresh ideas as we explore ways to improve our shared spaces, making them even more enjoyable for members.

Recent accomplishments
2023:
Re-designed and re-built the dock and swim raft at the beach.
Designed, built and put our new lily-pad cutter, Jaws, to work!
2022:
Improved access and re-built stairs to the water at Lot D.
Work parties at all the lots.
In the works
2024 will be year 6 of the hand-pulling removal of lily pads. Work parties every weekend from July to September! Wonderful community on the water.
Jaws will be back, starting in June.
We’re working on a major re-design of Lot B, our Beach. Look for fun work parties and big accomplishments!
Ames Lake Beach Park Improvement Proposal

Project Scope & Cost Breakdown
1. Lot Regrading
Improving the usability of the park by smoothing uneven areas and removing excess soil.
Install 100 ft of silt fence along shoreline – $205
Regrade lot with excavator (includes boat ramp and soil removal) – $3,405
Remove 20 yds of excess soil – $480

2. Rock Terracing & Boat Ramp Barrier
Enhancing landscaping and functionality with terracing and protective rock features.
Two 1-man rock retaining walls (106 face ft) near kayak storage – $2,990
20 tons of 2-3 man igneous boulders for lower terrace and boat ramp barricade:
Labor – $3,275
Materials – $4,615
Install 6 Castohn Irregular steps in "Silver Legacy" color for paddleboard access – $1,863

3. Kayak Storage Path
Creating a clean and walkable pathway.
Spread 13 yds of Cedar Hog fuel for weed suppression – $1,332

A water-efficient system to support new lawn and plantings.
